A little about me
My name is Mackenzie Chan and I am currently in my sixth year of teaching. I am from Springfield, Missouri and attended Willard High School. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Missouri State University in 2016. In 2021 I completed my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Evangel University. To continue, I am working towards another masters degree in Educational Leadership from Evangel University.
I recently married my husband Pedro, and I have a German Shepherd named Rocky. My favorite subjects are math and social studies. I love being able to get lost in a good book and share those experiences with my students. Outside of school I enjoy hiking, DIY crafting projects and traveling with my friends and family. In honor of a dear friend who passed away in 2014 I am on the board of directors for the Liv a Life of Love Foundation which helps promote organ donation awareness through local area schools and other community outreach opportunities.
